I always come back from a photographic expedition with tons of GB of data and when I think of the time I will have to spend, to choose and develop those pictures on my computer I immediately want to go back into the wild 🙂
Don’t you have the same problem, that I have? Recently I have decided that I want to do something about that problem. I simply wanted to have more time for my photography!
After a little bit of searching and trying different presets and workflows, I did found one that I decided to give it a try.
I came across Sleeklens. They have lots of different workflows, but I decided to try the Through The Woods landscape bundle for Lightroom, advertised as the best for Landscape Photography.
The workflows comes in a sigle .zip file which contains all the brushes and presets, along with a nice instruction on how to install them in Lightroom. The process of installation is very easy, it only requires a few steps, as you can see here. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow, they are divided into two parts, one for Windows and one for Mac users. There is also a very usefull tutorial on how to use Lightroom.
The Sleeklens has also a very handy youtube channel, among others on how to use those various presets and brushes.
The presets are, as you can see here, organized in a very clear way. You can very easy find the proper preset to use. After using one or two presets, I usually go over to the brushes, just to do the final touch. The brushes are also very clear organized, with names which reflects their possible usage.
Overall I must say that I am very pleased with my choice, the presets and brushes allowed me to speed up the process of developing my RAW files extensively. After using the workflow I only had to do minor tweaks here and there. I can recommend the Sleeklens workflows for every photographer – professional and amateurs alike.
See the results for yourself – first is the original RAW file and second the same picture only developed with the help of the presets and brushes.
